With normal PC use you should regularly make backups every set period of time to make sure you lose nothing. For this you can use ReaSoft Data Backup, a simple application that lets you make all types of backup of files and folders, with the chance to recover them in an emergency.
To make the job easier, you can establish a series of rules so that ReaSoft Data Backup does the job automatically, without you needing to be there. It also includes a small tool to record those data on a CD or DVD, or upload them to an FTP protocol server. And if you want to protect your discs for security reasons, you can do so by encrypting them with a 128-bit password.
